Finally?

Y’all, after 3 years of having this blog accumulating dust (Wix reminding me to finish this blog in every other email), I finally pressed publish. I finally said, "What's the worst that can truly happen?"

No, for real sometimes we have to rationalize what we fear and call it out! What's the worst that can happen? My blog is a big flop, no one goes on it, and I wasted time and energy on something that wasn’t necessary. In all those scenarios, I'm still alive, and I was bold enough to do something that came out of an inspiration and let it see life.

But what if the success is not centered on whether people like it or resonate with it, but more on the act of obedience stepping out on faith? Having an idea, praying and asking God how to do it, then for God to give you just the first step, and you going forward and trusting that He will provide the rest of the game plan. Because it's not about you but about His glory. Let me put you on free game: you know the project is of God if it glorifies Him, if it develops the fruit of the Spirit in you, and if it forces you to face the sin in your life! But the biggest for me it’s forcing you to depend, solely depend, on God for the unfolding of the project, idea, business… you name it!

Joseph had a vision that he would rule over his brothers (kinda bold huh!). His brothers didn’t like that idea so much and had the brilliant idea of sabotaging his plan. For those who don't know the story of Joseph, I strongly recommend reading it (Genesis 37–50). But the plot twist is that despite the set-up by his brothers, despite Potiphar’s wife doing the most (it got spicy real quick), despite the jail, despite being forgotten the vision actually did come to pass. And when it did, his heart posture was righteous.

When he reconnected with his brothers, he had every reason and the power to throw them in jail or have them killed, BUT the journey from the vision to it happening clearly shows us there was a work God was architecting in the background. God was working on Joseph’s heart to look more like Him so that when the time came for him to rule over his brothers, it would not change him but, on the contrary, lead him to look, act, and love like God!

So what am I trying to say? That idea, project, or business is supposed to bring you to a place of transformation. It’s supposed to lead you to DIE to self and want to pick up your cross even more! Allow the Holy Spirit to be your guide, and let all the glory go to GOD! Finally, it was never about you but about HIM.

So you want to grow? You believe there is more inside of you? Answer the call. And watch your life get transformed to look more like Christ! Feel free to share with me how this post resonates with you in the comments below! Be blessed!
