He loves me, he loves me not...

Ladies, this one is specifically for you, men you can read but this blog is not completely adressed to you.

Let’s talk about the disappointment of a dating phase that didn’t lead to the outcome you hoped for. You know that feeling… meeting someone in the most organic way possible, the butterflies, the excitement of planning the perfect date. For a moment, it feels like *this might really be it*. And then… it isn’t. The communication slows down, the effort fades, and what you thought was blooming into something real comes to an end.

The truth? That hurts. It’s frustrating. And as women, we can start replaying every detail in our minds. Did I miss the signs? Was it me? Did I expect too much? The roller coaster of what if...

But here’s what I want to remind you: even when love doesn’t unfold the way we imagined, Christ is still the best love story writer. He knows your heart better than you do, and He holds it so preciously. The same God who placed those desires for companionship, love, and partnership inside of you is the same God who promises to fulfill them in His timing and in His way.

And sis, here’s the beautiful thing about heartbreak: even in the disappointment, something shifts inside of us. That date that set the bar so high? The way you were pursued with intentionality? The way you felt seen, valued, and cherished? That rewired your mind to not settle for less. What was once your minimum standard is now a non-negotiable. And that’s not a bad thing that’s God using an experience to refine your heart and prepare you for what’s next.

Your heart is too valuable to be mishandled. Your desires are not silly, desperate, or too much they are a reflection of the way God designed you for love, intimacy, and connection. The waiting, the disappointment, the heartbreak none of it is wasted when it’s surrendered into His hands.

So to every woman reading this: don’t stop believing. Love will find you. Not just any love, but the kind that mirrors Christ’s love patient, kind, intentional, and rooted in covenant. God is not done writing your story, and when He turns the page, it will make sense why the last chapter had to end.

So...Maybe that person wasn’t the one, but they reminded you of what you’re worthy of. Maybe that date wasn’t forever, but it raised the standard. And maybe that disappointment was actually divine redirection, making space for the love story God Himself is crafting for you.
